Yalumba FDR1A Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2018

In 1974, Yalumba released one of thier best Cabernet and Shiraz wines, ever. It was unceremoniously stamped FDR1A for Fine Dry Red and the bin code 1A. The small bottling became a legend in winemaking circles, accumulating a tree of three trophies and 21 gold medals at some of the most prominent and respected wine shows across Australia.

Deep crimson red in colour. Cedar fragrances and blue fruits are joined by complex earthy tones, lots of blackberry, blackcurrant and chocolate. An elegant and generously flavoured wine that is succulent with a rich core of dark berries and smooth chocolate coated tannins.
