Cannubi, one of the distinguished Cru Storici vineyards, stands out within the Barolo municipality. This elevated hill features Serravallian and Tortonian soils, with bluish-grey marl rich in magnesium and manganese carbonates. The surface, displaying a whitish-gray hue, combines clay with fine sands and limestone. Shielded by surrounding hills, Cannubi enjoys a distinct microclimate, protected from adverse weather and excessive airflow.
The wine derived from Cannubi presents a ruby color with garnet undertones, offering an intense aroma of roses, vanilla, and roasted nuts, with a subtle touch of anise. It is a robust wine, with good body, full and elegant taste, soft and enveloping tannins.Â
