Famille Hugel was established in 1639 by Hans Ulrich Hugel and is one of the regions most loved producers and largest landholders with in excess of 120 hectares of vineyards to their name. Situated in Riquewihr the estate has over the years built an enviable reputation for the consistency and quality of its wines. This is one of the most approachable wines of Alsace and most consistent year after year. A similar style to an unoaked Chardonnay such as a Chablis or Macon.

Bright pale straw colour with hints of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of pear and red apple mix with quince, lime and gentle spice. Generously proportioned across the palate yet energetic, pear and apple fruits overlay subtle honeysuckle, lime and wet stone elements. Nicely rounded it has brisk acidity and finishes dry with a dash of spice to the aftertaste that shows ample length.
